I think, that, sometimes, the hardest part of being a writer is sitting. I did sit yesterday. This is what I saw, heard, and thought as I sat.
As I sit here now, going public on my blog, I wonder what the pots and flower garden will look like in a month or two? Will I see the changes daily, like the amaryllis in the winter?
Time will tell.
I think, that, yes, the hardest part of being a writer, for me, is sitting.
I agree that sitting can be the hardest part of writing. I find it interesting that I need to be active, and out and about, to fuel my writing, but then I have to sit still to actually write. I love your sketch and hope you’ll post another one later this summer to show the changes in those plants.

Right?!?! There are so many other competing tasks and distractions! I think it’s why carving out time within a routine has been important for me. I love your sketches and the peeks into your world of pots and fences and sounds!

Sweet and simple. Like your pots, your writing shows how your life has grown. I love when you share writing from your past journals.

Simple but love it ! How time will change things physically and how maybe your perspective will change too.

If I could get my mind to “sit” while my body is upright in the chair, I might accomplish more. I appreciate the sketches you’ve included here, they complement the text nicely.

I’m so bad at sitting! I really need to work on it. Maybe it will be a summer goal.
